Tip 51: Eat to learn & learn to eat

'You are what what you eat.'

Bad nutrition as well as insufficient physical workout have a very negative effect on your ability to concentrate and thus also on your learning motivation.

If you want to boost your learning efforts while at the same time benefitting your health, follow these rough guidelines:

  1. Vary what you are eating

  2. Have five smaller meals a day

  3. Listen to your body and eat when you are hungry

  4. Drink a lot

  5. Use mainly ingredients with lots of vitamin, amino acids, long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids: Egg, fish, sweet potatoes, berries, nuts, carrots, spinach, soya, green tee, apples, broccoli, whole grain bread, curd cheese, oats

  6. Use natural, seasonal & local products

  7. Reduce sugar to a minimum

  8. Take a break from work & learning while eating

  9. Don't heat your food up too much

  10. Last but not least: Enjoy your food & be grateful for it!

What are you going to do to optimize your diet?
